LaRocca of Murphy LaRocca Consulting Group have extensive training and professional planning experience in the areas of comprehensive planning and the assessment of impacts to private property. They utilize that experience to offer a client or project team current and historical perspectives on issues affecting the planning, permitting and understanding of complex growth management and government regulatory procedures. They offer personal involvement and direct support to all project tasks.
Murphy LaRocca Consulting Group, Inc. was founding in April, 2000 combining a history of common practice and long-standing friendship.

John N. LaRocca
John LaRocca is a Principal/Partner in Murphy LaRocca Consulting Group, Inc. Mr. LaRocca's urban planning experience has included work in the areas of comprehensive land use planning and land development code administration in both the public and private sectors. He has served as lead consultant in a variety of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects for the development community and associated real estate industry. Mr. LaRocca has been an active member of the Tampa Downtown Partnership since its inception and is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Parntership.

Allen S. Murphy, AICP
During his 25 years in urban planning and real estate consulting, Mr. Murphy has served as an Associate Planner for the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council and Planning Services Manager for Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc. In December 1991, he found the Allen S. Murphy Company, Inc. providing zoning and land use planning services, site master planning, Developments of Regional Impact Applications, site development suitability studies and environmental planning.

Lorraine Lyn, Assistant Planner
Lorraine Lyn has 29 years of experience in land use planning including comprehensive planning for the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City and unincorporated Hillsborough County. She was head of the Tampa section of the Planning Commission and the zoning conformance team for Hillsborough County. During her 20 years with the Planning Commission, Ms. Lyn prepared numerous plan amendment studies, conducted many neighborhood and community workshops and attended public hearings. Over the past nine years with MLCG, Ms. Lyn has worked on eminent domain reports and real estate due diligence reports throughout Florida. She has conducted studies and prepared and processed development applications in neighboring counties, including Pasco, Polk, Pinellas, Manatee, Orange and Sarasota including some of their respective cities. Terri A. Vertes, Assistant Planner and Business Director Terri Vertes has over 10 years business experience in the private sector, with an emphasis in the financial arena. Ms. Vertes oversees all accounting and controllership functions for MLCG in addition to managing the office and staff. She also assists in zoning and land use due diligence services and specializes in property owner notifications and research.
